Iran’s Rare Diseases’ Foundation

A rare disease is defined as a condition affecting less than 1 in 2000 people. There are more than 8000 diagnosed rare diseases in the world while many more are undiagnosed. Most known rare disorders are severe and chronic, with many being degenerative and life threatening.

In this report we will take a closer look at some patients that have been diagnosed with rare diseases and discuss the latest breakthroughs in treating such conditions with Iranian scientists.
